Google to bring free Wi-Fi hotspots to the Philippines

Google Station is a program in developing countries, where local partners and Google tie up to bring free Wi-Fi to high traffic locations like railway and bus stations. Piloted in India in 2016, the program then expanded to Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, and Thailand, even rolling out to college campuses and hospitals. It's now coming to a sixth location: the Philippines.

At the ongoing "Google for Philippines" conference, Mahesh Bhalerao, the global director for Google's Next Billion Users initiative (through which the company launches programs to improve connectivity in less-developed-countries), spoke about Google Station's success, and detailed plans for the Philippines rollout: 50 hotspots by the end of February, with more being added over the course of 2019.

Human: Fall Flat is coming to Android thanks to a partnership between 505 Games and Curve Digital

No Break Games' popular physics-based puzzle game Human: Fall Flat was released on PC back in 2016, and later was released on consoles. Thanks to a recent agreement between 505 Games and Human: Fall Flat's publisher Curve Digital the title will be coming to mobile.

So far the news about this upcoming mobile port is pretty light. What we do know is that mobile version of Human: Fall Flat is currently in development with the Dutch developer Codeglue, the same studio that worked on the mobile version of the sandbox game Terraria.

Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest is available for pre-registration

The real-time massively-multiplayer strategy game Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest was published as a soft-launch beta title in the Philippines this past November. Now that a few months of testing have passed it would appear that the official Android launch is nearing. You can now pre-register for Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest on the Play Store as well as the official website.

If you take a look at the trailer linked above, you'll notice that the few quick flashes that actually show the game in action resemble the stylings and gameplay of the monumentally popular strategy game Game of War.

Pokémon GO gains AR-based snapshot mode that lets you pose with Pikachu

It's been 20 years since Pokémon Snap, the N64 game in which players roamed the Pokémon Island taking pictures of its inhabitants. Two decades later, humans now roam the Earth taking pictures for the Gram. With the similarly-named GO Snapshot feature, a much-requested photo mode for Pokémon GO, Niantic seems to hark back to the past.

Well, now that a few days have passed The Pokémon Company has officially announced the global release of its trading card management app. You can use this release to scan and keep track of your physical cards, and you can also browse the built-in Pokémon TCG database to formulate new plans for your competitive deck design or simply track which cards you still don't own.
