We would love for USB-C to be as ubiquitous as possible, and to avoid using USB-A and MicroUSB cables and ports, but the truth of the matter is that we're still in a transition phase where smartphones have adopted the standard, computers are moving in that direction, and accessories are still (generally) lagging behind. Moshi announces two USB-C headsets: $50 in-ear Mythro C and $200 on-ear Avanti C

It's taken us a few years, but USB-C audio products are starting to be a little easier to come by. Good, affordable in-ear sets are still limited to a few brands though, and Moshi is joining the fray with its $50 Mythro C. The company also announced the $200 on-ear Avanti C headphones.

 

Starting with the Mythro C, it is made from lightweight aluminum, has 8mm neodymium drivers, an integrated DAC, a microphone, four buttons for controls, and Google Assistant compatibility.

Yubico launches new YubiKey 5 Series 2FA keys, supports passwordless FIDO2 and NFC

Yubico, one of the more well-known names in two-factor hardware security keys, has just revealed its new YubiKey 5 Series: four new keys that all support FIDO2, and a big USB-A model that does NFC. The new keys look almost exactly like their counterparts in the old YubiKey 4 Series, with the same durable designs for both USB-A and USB-C keys.

Two-factor hardware security keys used to be the purview of system administrators and high-value account executives, but they're rapidly becoming more common at the consumer level.
