[Update: Now available for more watches] Google announces which Android Wear watches will get Oreo update, and which already have it

Tuesday, December 12th, 2017

As the name implies, Android Wear is simply a variation of Android specifically tailored to smartwatches. This year's Wear 2.0 update ran on top of Android 7.0 Nougat, and while some components can be updated through the Play Store, the underlying system can only be updated through normal OTAs.

Google released the Wear version of Android 8.0 Oreo a few days ago, and the update started to roll out to the LG Watch Sport and other models.

Android 8.1 update caused some Pixel C tablets to factory reset, Google says it’s fixed

Sunday, December 10th, 2017

The OnePlus 5T was only launched a few weeks ago, and already it's breaking all the company's sales records. It might be breaking update records, too, as today marks the 2nd update to the device in less than a month. Intrepid Android enthusiasts can flash the update, though it is worth noting that the OTA files aren't currently working when sideloading from DP2 on at least one device.

So far the OTA for 8.1 itself doesn't appear to be rolling out.
