Fliptop Solitaire by Zach Gage has finally made its way to Android

Thursday, September 20th, 2018

Zach Gage is the developer that came up with SpellTower (one of my favorite word games that for some reason is missing from the Play Store), Ridiculous Fishing, and Really Bad Chess. These are all popular titles that show this dev has a very consistent track record. His newest game Flipflop Solitaire may have released on iOS last November, but it only just landed on Android. It combines a few different versions of solitaire into an all-new unrestrictive single-player card game, and you better believe it has a few tricks up its sleeve.

Alto’s Odyssey slides onto the Play Store

Thursday, July 26th, 2018

Sure, there may have been a five-month gap in between the iOS and Android release, but Alto's Odyssey is finally here, and it was well worth the wait. Much like the original Alto's Adventure, this sequel is also a relaxing endless runner that contains a beautiful aesthetic and plenty of unique goals to complete.

Such large gaps in between iOS and Android releases can often take the wind out of the sails for any hype surrounding a game.

Alto’s Odyssey is available for pre-registration, and will release in July

Tuesday, June 19th, 2018

Alto's Odyssey was released for iOS about four months ago, and in that time Android users have been patiently waiting for their official release of the endless runner. As of a few hours ago the official Alto's Odyssey Twitter account announced that the game is finally available for pre-registration on the Play Store, and that the official release will take place sometime next month.

I've yet to play through Alto's Odyssey on iOS, but after reading a few reviews, it sounds like it plays just like the original snowboarding endless runner Alto's Adventure, only with a few new locations and tricks thrown in the mix to keep things interesting.

Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy now out on Android to ruin your day

Wednesday, April 25th, 2018

If you aren't already familiar with Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy (which was released on Steam last December), then odds are you might remember a little browser-based game called QWOP by the same developer. Kiddos everywhere, including myself, wasted hours controlling the runner's individual muscles in a frustration-based exercise that somehow still bordered on entertainment. Well, Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy takes that same anger-induced amusement and turns it up to 11.

I don't want to give away to much about the game, it really is something else.

It was only a few months ago that Noodlecake Studios Inc released a remastered version of realMyst. Today they are following up that release with a remastered version of Riven: The Sequel To Myst.
