A lot of people my age can probably count the number of times they've physically visited a banking branch this year on precisely no hands. The advent of mobile banking has pretty much done away with most of the need for ATM visits and in-person check deposits, though some banks have dragged their feet when it comes to implementing some useful features like auto capture. You can go ahead and strike Chase from that list, though. 

Now instead of having to manually snap a photo of both sides of a check during the deposit process, the Chase app has a new auto capture mode—which can be disabled if you don't like it.

Chase app update adds ability to request new cards, prevent card blocks when traveling, and more

Mobile banking is great. You can deposit checks and move money around, all without having to go to a physical bank location. Chase is now adding even more features to its app, including the ability to request new cards when they're lost or stolen and to prevent card blocks when you travel.

There are actually some pretty neat additions here. Here's the full changelog:

5000+ Wells Fargo ATMs now have NFC, can be signed into with Android Pay

Today Wells Fargo announced that over 5,000 of the company's 13,000 ATMs support NFC for card-free access. Wells Fargo customers can now initiate an ATM transaction with little more than their phone and PIN, no card required. This is in addition to the one-time access code ATM system deployed earlier this year. 

The new system can work via Android Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or the Wells Fargo Wallet system in the Wells Fargo app, presumably so long as you have a Wells Fargo card set up and selected in the application.
