Rebel Inc. is the spiritual successor to Plague Inc, and it’s officially available on Android

Monday, February 11th, 2019

Ndemic Creations launched Rebel Inc. on iOS on December 6th, 2018, and today it has finally arrived on the Google Play Store. If you're unfamiliar with the title, it's basically the spiritual successor to Plague Inc, a highly-popular pandemic simulator from Ndemic Creations that was released all the way back in 2012. Much like its predecessor Rebel Inc. is a strategy game, but this time around instead of spreading an infectious disease around the world you're tasked with stabilizing five regions through political and military might.

Revolve8 is Sega’s take on Clash Royale, and it’s globally available today

Tuesday, February 5th, 2019

Sega has officially launched its mobile real-time strategy game Revolve8 on the Play Store. It's free-to-play and exudes a flashy anime theme for its stylized fairy tale characters. The gameplay revolves around 3-minute online PvP matches where players pull from a deck of eight cards to send out heroes to destroy their opponent's towers, much like Clash Royale.

Some people may call Revolve8 a clone, and I'd say that's a fair assessment since the game is noticeably very similar to strategy titles like Clash Royale.

Recently added features like controls to match the old console Tony Hawk Pro Skater games and bluetooth controller support are included with today's release.

Hang Line: Mountain Climber is the latest release from Yodo1 Games, the publisher for the popular auto-runner Rodeo Stampede. This time around, instead of wrangling stampeding animals with a lasso, you'll be tasked with using a grappling hook to climb your way to the top of five perilous mountains in search of stranded survivors.

Getting the hang of the grapple hook mechanics in this release is easy enough. Just tap on the snowy bits of the mountain to swing your way to that area.

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sad Puppy Limited have decided to cash in on everyone's favorite puzzle-platformer Lemmings by dumbing down the familiar gameplay and stuffing in as many in-app purchases as possible. So if you think you'd enjoy paying $7 every two hours to turn off an ever-present energy system, you'll definitely love the new free-to-play Lemmings out now on the Play Store.

If you watch the above trailer, you'll see an adorable mobile reimagining of the Lemmings franchise, which I have to admit looks somewhat appealing.

Reddit has made some substantial changes in the last couple of years with the launch of an official app, a new site design, and (most recently) a new system for "gilding" posts. Now, the official Android app is getting a related update. You can now make in-app purchases to get Reddit Coins—up to $100 worth of them.

The IAPs are the main change here, but there are other tweaks in this version.
