Hisense H9 Plus 4K TVs with Android TV are now available

Hisense announced some new TVs back at CES in January, but we haven't heard a peep since then. Today, the H9 Plus Series 4K TVs are available for purchase. Why is this relevant? These TVs have Android TV and Assistant built-in.

Most TV makers are still using their own proprietary smart TV interface, but Sony has embraced Android TV on some of its screens. Now, you can add Hisense to the list. The H9 Plus Series comes in either 55-inches or 65-inches.

CES is wrapping up (I left Thursday afternoon), so we figured it would be a good time to sit down and give all of you an easy place to find a bunch of the stuff announced that are related to Android. This post will focus on all of the television sets that will come with Android TV installed. I got see a few of them on the show floor, but they weren't all that exciting from a brief glance standpoint — we've all seen TVs and most of us know what Android TV looks like by now.

Acer Chromebook 15, HP Chromebook 11 G5, and 15 others now fully support the Play Store

Earlier this year, Google announced that all Chromebooks shipped in 2017 and beyond would support the Play Store. Some models have shipped with the feature already enabled, while others took a few months after launch to get everything working. At the same time, Google has been working to backport the Play Store to older Chromebooks.

Most recently in August, Google brought Android app support to a massive number of Chromebooks, either in the stable or beta Chrome OS channels.
