Monday, January 14th, 2019

In his review of Samsung's Galaxy S9, David remarked that camera performance relative to Google's latest offerings was somewhat wanting. Front-facing camera performance in particular, he noted, was "pretty meh." Samsung apparently agreed, as patch notes for January's update call out selfie shooter improvements.

Now, an updated roadmap has been spotted by SamMobile, pointing to quicker release dates for the Note9 and Note8.

Adoptable storage is absent from Samsung’s final Android 9 Pie release

Friday, December 28th, 2018

The official rollout of Android 9 Pie to the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ is underway, but there's one feature that didn't quite make the cut. Although it didn't actually work in the beta, there was a screen that suggested an adoptable storage option, but it's nowhere to be seen in the stable release.

Whether or not adoptable storage is actually a good idea is up for debate, with many arguing that the failure rate and slower performance of SD cards makes this feature undesirable.

Samsung enters the gradient color game with Ice Blue Galaxy S9 for China

Tuesday, November 13th, 2018

Smartphones are all the same; boring black slabs of glass, metal, and/or plastic, with no character, no soul.
