Fortnite beta invites are going out, as first wave comes to non-Samsung phones

As per an official Tweet yesterday evening from Epic Games, the developer has clearly stated that it has opened up the Fortnite Android Beta to more devices. This is only the first wave of invites, but more will surely follow. So if you haven't signed up yet, make sure to navigate to Epic's website to get on the waiting list.

Last Friday our own Artem Russakovskii discovered that both the installer and game would boot on his Pixel 2 XL, but once the title was fully installed on his device it would not allow his account into a match without an official invite tied to it.

Tencent soft-launches ‘PUBG Mobile Lite’ beta in the Philippines

Now that Fortnite has taken over mobile gaming news for the week I bet Tencent is none too pleased that PUBG Mobile has taken a backseat. Well, to ensure that PUBG Mobile gets its own press coverage Tencent has soft-launched a lite version of its battle royale shooter in the Philippines. It's based on Unreal Engine 4, and it's optimized for devices with low RAM. This ensures PUBG Mobile Lite will be compatible with low-end Android devices without necessarily compromising the gameplay experience of the original release.

Minecraft has always existed as a work in progress, but ever since Microsoft purchased the property, it seems like new updates are releasing at a record-setting pace. Maybe it just appears that way because of the game's massive popularity and coverage, as the last big update was actually released two months ago. Strangely enough, that update was broken up into two segments, and only just yesterday was the second half released when Minecraft 1.5 hit the digital shelves.

‘The Room: Old Sins’ public beta is live

Three months ago Fireproof Games released The Room: Old Sins on iOS with a pending release for Android slated for April 19th. Well, the wait is finally over as the public beta is available on the Play Store right now for $4.99. Just like the previous three titles you are going to be solving plenty of puzzles by following obscure clues and manipulating bizarre 3D contraptions as you try to uncover the mysteries of the game.
