At the company's event today in New York City, OnePlus has revealed its expected mid-cycle refresh. Prices start at $549 with general availability set for November 1st from both OnePlus and T-Mobile.

Google Photos photo books are now available in Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain

Tuesday, September 4th, 2018

Google Photos is, for many, a life-changing product. It stores and organizes every photo you take in relatively high quality for free (or in original quality for free, if you're a Pixel user). There's still something to be said for printed photos, though, which makes the photo books Google offers a neat proposition. And now, residents of Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain are able to take advantage.

Last year, photo books made their debut, as many Google products do, in the US.

[Update: Still waiting] Google One is open to everybody in the US starting today

Tuesday, August 28th, 2018

Google One, Google's new cloud storage management and product support service, has had a strangely protracted rollout. It was announced all the way back in May, and showed up on the Play Store shortly thereafter. It wasn't long until invites started going out to a select few, but now, in mid-August, some users still don't have access to it. That's changing, though, as Google has announced that "people in the U.S.

Samsung’s Wireless Charger Duo is now available for $120

Friday, August 10th, 2018

Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event yesterday primarily focused on the Galaxy Note9 and Galaxy Watch. If you're planning on picking up both of those, the previously-leaked Wireless Charger Duo is now available from Samsung, but you'll have to cough up $119.99 for one, which is quite a bit more than expected.

The AP team that was at Galaxy Unpacked had hands-on time with the Wireless Charger Duo and was not impressed. They noted that it's "a giant ugly piece of plastic" (David's words, not mine) and that nobody will want to put it next to their bed.

Wednesday, August 1st, 2018

Google Pay is slowly making its way around the world. In June, it became available in Germany; now, Croatian Android users can access Google's mobile payments platform.

Croatia is the third Central European nation to get Google Pay support, after the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The country isn't on Google's official list of supported countries just yet, but it's sure to show up soon enough.

WhatsApp group audio and video calls are now rolling out to everyone

Monday, July 30th, 2018

After leaks and teardown revelations aplenty, WhatsApp group calls were finally formally revealed at Facebook's F8 developer conference in early May. By the end of the month, the feature had started showing up for some. Now, WhatsApp has announced that group audio and video calls are rolling out to all users.

The functionality is pretty straightforward: you and up to three other users can all talk to each other at once, with or without accompanying split-screen video.
