[Deal Alert] Anker Nebula Mars II Android projector is $400 ($200 off), Mars Lite is $230 ($170 off)

Sunday, September 23rd, 2018

We recently reviewed Anker's Nebula Mars II, the company's new flagship portable projector. It's bright, loud, and runs full Android 7.1 Nougat. However, the MSRP of $499 was a bit pricey. Anker is now discounting the Mars II and the Mars Lite (a cheaper version with no Android OS) at $399.99 and $229.99, respectively.

The Mars II is Anker's top-of-the-line portable projector, with a 300 ANSI Lumen lamp, around four hours of battery life, great speakers, and Android 7.1.

[Deal Alert] Today only, Anker’s PowerCore Speed 20000 and PowerCore+ 26800 are both $40 off at Amazon

Friday, September 21st, 2018

With all your power-hungry gadgets, you really ought to have ample accessories to top 'em up. Anker makes quite a few such accouterments, and right now, you can snag several at deep discounts on Amazon. Among them are the PowerCore Speed 20000 for $40 off at $60, and the beefy PowerCore+ 26800 for $41 off at $89.

As it's wont to do, Amazon shows the discounts on the battery packs as being greater than they actually are (as $60 for the 20000 and $111 for the 26800), counting the discount from the MSRP rather than the historical price.

[Deal Alert] Anker’s new Amazon promos include Roav FM transmitter and car charger for $13 ($7 off) with coupon code

Monday, September 17th, 2018

Anker's Roav brand may be best known for its dash cams, but its focus on gadgets for the car doesn't end there. The SmartCharge, a line of enhanced functionality car chargers are also well-regarded — and at the moment, you can get the SmartCharge F0, which doubles as a Bluetooth-enabled FM transmitter (hello, smartphone audio), for as little as $13 through Amazon with the coupon code VIVAFF22. Usually, it's $19.99 on Amazon, and it remains $23.99 on the Roav site.

[Deal Alert] Zolo Liberty+ true wireless earbuds are $100 ($50 off) on Amazon

Wednesday, September 5th, 2018

Anker is known for having generally solid products at reasonable prices. It's no surprise, then, that its Zolo brand produced a very competent pair of fully wireless earbuds in the Liberty+. They're already a fine deal at their normal price of $150, and right now, you can snag a pair for just $99.99 on Amazon.

The Liberty+ sound pretty nice and maintain a surprisingly strong connection. They last about three hours on a charge, and their included charging case can top them up an impressive 10 times over (that "48-hour battery life" the listing touts is for the buds and the case, and it's a bit of a stretch).

Anker Nebula Mars II review: Another good Android projector

Monday, September 3rd, 2018

Slightly over a year ago, I reviewed Anker's first Android-powered portable projector, the Nebula Mars. It packed a bright projector and JBL speakers into a small package, and the $599.99 price reflected that. The heavily-modified build of Android 4.4 worked decently well, but app compatibility was limited, since most apps have stopped supporting KitKat.

Anker then released the $350 Nebula Capsule, a smaller (and dimmer) projector that doubled as a Bluetooth speaker.

[Deal Alert] Anker’s Mars portable projectors are 26-30% off ($280-$400) for today only on Amazon

Saturday, August 18th, 2018

Anker launched its first Android-powered portable projector about a year ago, the Nebula Mars. Since then, it also released the smaller Nebula Capsule, a sequel to the original Mars, and a Mars without Android. The two latter models, as well as the original, are heavily discounted for today only.

Firstly, Anker is selling the original Nebula Mars for $399.99, a $200 savings over the original price. This is still the brightest projector the company sells, with a rating of 500 ANSI Lumens (the Mars II is only 300 ANSI Lumens).

Eufy Genie catches up to Amazon Echos with new calling and messaging abilities

Monday, August 6th, 2018

The Eufy Genie is a popular third-party Alexa-enabled smart speaker from Anker that can usually be picked up for as little as $30, making it a good alternative to the Echo Dot. It hasn't always been as capable as Amazon's own hardware, though, with the omission of calling and messaging being a prime example. The Genie is now finally getting those very features.

As previously reported by Tom's Guide, support for voice calls on third-party Alexa speakers has been planned for a few months.

[Deal Alert] Anker Nebula Mars Lite projector $279.99 ($120 off), Soundcore Liberty Lite true-wireless earbuds $64.99 ($15 off) on Amazon

Monday, July 30th, 2018

Jack of all trades manufacturer Anker has become a great source of deals on a wide range of technology products, and that's continuing today with two more tempting offers. The first is for a portable home cinema system, the Nebula Mars Lite, while the second is for a pair of true-wireless earbuds from sub-brand Soundcore.

Nebula Mars Lite

Corbin has reviewed two Anker projectors previously, with the original Nebula Mars ($599.99) impressing in spite of its poor software and high price and the cheaper Nebula Capsule ($349.99) coming out as "the best portable projector" around.

[Deal Alert] Anker just released the Nebula Mars II portable projector, and we have a $100 discount code

Monday, June 18th, 2018

Corbin reviewed the Nebula Capsule back in April, saying that no other Android-powered powered projector came close to its build quality and software experience for the same price, and that it was "almost certainly the best portable projector you can buy." Anker does manufacture the larger and more powerful Nebule Mars, but the Capsule's bigger brother does have some downsides, like the ancient version Android it uses (KitKat 4.4.4), the lack of Play Store support, and the higher price tag.
