About Game

The idea of the game is for one player (the code-breaker) to guess the secret code chosen by the computer (the code-maker). The code is a sequence of 2-5 colored shapes (1-3) chosen from 3-18 colors available. The code-breaker makes a serie of pattern guesses - after each guess the code-maker gives feedback in the form of 3 numbers; First number that are of the right color and in the correct position. Second number that are of the correct color but not in the correct position. Third number that are of the correct shapes and in the corrent position.

History

Mastermind is a board game with an interesting history. Some game books report that it was invented in 1971 by Mordecai Meirowitz, an Israeli postmaster and telecommunications expert. After many rejections by leading toy companies, the rights were obtained by a small British firm, Invicta Plastics Ltd. The firm originally manufactured the game itself, though it has since licensed its manufacture to Hasbro in most of the world. However, Mastermind is just a clever readaptation of an old similar game called 'Bulls and cows' in English, and 'Numerello' in Italian... Actually, the old British game 'Bulls and cows' was somewhat different from the commercial version. It was played on paper, not on a board... Over 50 million copies later, Mastermind is still marketed today!

Have Fun.

  • [Deal Alert] 51 movies are on sale at Google Play for Comic-con

The annual San Diego Comic-Con is going on right now, with plenty of trailers and information for upcoming movies/TV shows being released at the event. To celebrate, Google Play Movies has a whopping 51 films on sale (as long as you’re in the US or Canada). They mostly consist of superhero/comic movies, but there are a few other popular titles included.

I recommend heading down to the source link below to see all the movies, but I’ll list some highlights here:

There are definitely a few bad movies on sale though, like the 2005 Elektra film.

  • Where did all of this Qualcomm hate come from?

Qualcomm’s patents and their usage fees have many up in arms and are at the center of a big legal mess.

Around the web, you’ll find plenty of things written about Qualcomm. Most of it is news about its latest products, or reviews of the same products but you’ll also see a new trend of … distaste for Qualcomm. Most of the time there is no back story given about why. So that’s what we’re going to talk about in a non-lawyerly way and with no full disclosure on the standards-essential patents fees or any royalty caps. If you’re reading and happen to know patent law, please feel free to correct the “internet wisdom” at play here in the comments so we all can benefit.

    Qualcomm makes great stuff

Qualcomm has done some amazing things to move mobile forward. Its Snapdragon platform blends processing power, graphics rendering and network connectivity together in a way that’s better than anything else you can buy off the shelf, especially if you’re in North America. Qualcomm’s products …

  • Do your thing in this weekend’s comment thread!

The comments are yours to use as you will. Almost.

It’s the best day of the week of all the days of the week once again. Saturday is the first day of the weekend that’s not the last day. Time to relax, at least a little bit. And if you’re working through the weekend, hopefully your days off are just as great as a Saturday.

Use this down time to get ready for the Galaxy Note 8. That’s what we’re doing, but everything we’re doing right about now is getting ready for the Note 8. Because it’s coming in just a month.

This Note is going to be a tad different from the past releases. It’s either the best Note ever or the worst, depending on what you’re looking for. Samsung has to play things a little safe this time and I don’t expect anything crazy or innovative is going to debut here. Why? Because of the Note 7.

    That damn Bixby button though.

Look, Samsung doesn’t have to prove to me (or most of us) that they can build a perfect phone. One that works exactly as advertised, with no surpri…
